With the launch of Radar Maps Platform and our geo-compliance solution for gaming, 2023 was the most ambitious year in Radar history.
As the year comes to a close, we wanted to reflect on a great 2023, preview an exciting 2024, and say thank you to our amazing customers, partners, and team.
Radar has long been the industry leader in geofencing. In September, we announced the general availability of Radar Maps Platform, making Radar the only truly all-in-one location platform.
Radar Maps Platform is a cost-effective alternative to Google Maps Platform and Mapbox, including beautiful vector base maps and a full suite of enterprise-ready geocoding, search, and routing APIs.
Dozens of companies have already cut their maps bill significantly by switching from Google Maps Platform to Radar. Many are also using those savings to fund investments in geofencing.
Check out a showcase of companies that are switching, including DICK'S Sporting Goods, GEICO, Bojangles, and many more.
In October, we announced the general availability of our fraud detection and geo-compliance solution, a developer-friendly, cost-effective geolocation solution for gaming and other industries.
Our Fraud context type detects location spoofing, including GPS spoofing, proxy and VPN usage, device tampering, screen sharing, and more. And our powerful dashboard provides reporting, troubleshooting, and back office capabilities, with audit logs and advanced access controls.
Since our launch, we've been overwhelmed by demand. If you're a gaming operator or vendor considering switching geo-compliance solutions in 2024, please get in touch.
We highlighted these launches at our second annual Radar IRL conference. Over 150 attendees — including product and digital leaders from companies like McDonald's, Walmart, and Zillow — joined us in-person in NYC for an afternoon of networking, product launches, and sessions about the future of location.
Since 2016, we've been on a mission to connect the digital and physical worlds with location infrastructure for every product and service.
With the launch of Radar Maps Platform and our geo-compliance solution for gaming, we also evolved our brand to better reflect the scope of our vision.
2023 also saw steady growth in our business, including over 10,000 developer signups and a 3x increase in monthly API calls.
Radar customers continued to innovate with location, including DICK'S Sporting Goods (store mode), Whataburger (order ahead arrival detection), Bojangles (maps cost savings), and Sleeper (fraud detection and geo-compliance).
In 2024, expect us to extend our lead as the only all-in-one location platform, with continued investments in maps customization, international address and POI coverage, location intelligence, indoor location, compliance and licensing, and high availability.
We have a thriving in-office culture in NYC, and we're hiring for a number of roles across engineering, sales, and marketing. Come help us build the future of location.
Thanks again to our amazing customers, partners, and team for a great year!
