We just wrapped up a magical Radar IRL 2024.
Nearly 200 customers and partners joined us in-person in NYC for an afternoon of product launches, networking, and sessions showcasing the future of geolocation. And a bit of magic as well.
If you couldn't make it, here's what you missed!
At last year's IRL, we launched Radar Maps Platform and our Geo-Compliance Solution for Gaming.
We've been overwhelmed by the adoption, crossing 200 enterprise customers and 1 billion API calls per day.
In this year's keynote, we built on those launches, and we announced some new Geofencing Platform features that make Radar truly unparalleled in terms of accuracy, flexibility, and ease of integration.
In the past year, dozens of companies have switched from Google Maps or Mapbox to Radar. Collectively, these companies are saving millions of dollars on their maps bills and generating millions of dollars in incremental revenue from increased conversion rates.
This year, we announced new features that make it easier for the largest enterprises to migrate to Radar Maps Platform.
First, we announced international address coverage for our geocoding and address autocomplete APIs, partnering with TomTom for enterprise-grade coverage in nearly 200 countries. International address coverage is available to select enterprise customers and will be generally available later this year.
Second, we launched Maps Studio. While we've long supported classic, light, and dark styles out of the box, Maps Studio allows brands to create custom map styles with their own fonts, colors, and more.
Finally, we unveiled HorizonDB, our proprietary geospatial database and geocoder. HorizonDB is increasingly powering our Maps Platform as well as parts of our Geofencing Platform, and is a big reason why Radar is up to 90% less expensive than alternatives.
Radar has long been the industry leader in geolocation accuracy, reliability, and ease of integration.
This year, we announced new features that extend our lead in each of these areas.
First, we showcased one-line implementation. The Radar SDK has historically made it possible to add location features to your app with just a few lines of code. Now, for many use cases, you can integrate with a single line of code: Radar.initialize()
. From there, you can remote control the behavior of the SDK from the Radar dashboard.
Second, we launched A/B testing for remote SDK configuration, allowing you to scientifically measure the impact of geofencing rollouts on engagement, place visits, revenue, opt-in, and more.
Finally, we previewed an ultra-wideband-powered indoor location and micro-geofencing solution that achieves sub-meter accuracy indoors. Indoor location will be commercially available to select enterprise customers next year.
Gaming is our fastest growing vertical, and we now have over 30 enterprise gaming customers spanning sportsbook, iGaming, iLottery, sweepstakes, horse racing, and more.
This year, we announced product and partnership updates that make Radar fully ready to support the largest online sportsbook and iGaming operators.
First, we introduced Geo-Compliance Premium. Geo-Compliance Premium extends our Geo-Compliance Core offering with everything that licensed operators need to satisfy geolocation requirements in regulated jurisdictions out-of-the-box, from exclusion zones to reporting to specialized support and SLAs.
We also announced a new alliance with LexisNexis Risk Solutions, a global leader in identity verification and fraud detection. LexisNexis will be bundling Radar's geolocation capabilities with its identity verification and fraud detection capabilities, making it easier for gaming operators to adopt Radar as part of an all-in-one compliance suite.
In other sessions, product and digital leaders from various industries shared geolocation trends and best practices.
RBC, Zip, and HD Supply discussed what’s trending in location in 2024 and beyond, from contextual in-app experiences and messaging to indoor and micro-location.
Cordial and MoEngage explained how location intelligence and personalization can help you break through the noise.
We shifted gears for a bit, and world-famous magician Penn Jillette performed and gave a short talk about the importance of IRL experiences.
After that, LexisNexis and IC360 shared how geolocation data is being used in innovative ways for compliance and fraud detection.
Finally, Plein Air and Fi showcased the engaging map-based experiences that they built with Radar Maps Platform.
Attendees were a diverse mix of industry leaders from startups and Fortune 500 companies, retail and e-commerce brands, restaurant brands, gaming companies, logistics companies, payments companies, and more.
We wrapped the day with cocktails and networking 60 floors above NYC.
Thank you again to our sponsors, including MoEngage, Braze, Cordial, Bloomreach, mParticle, Airship, Iterable, Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, Bottle Rocket, Punchh, Plein Air, Deliverect, and 3 Owl.
