In 2025, enterprises leaned into geolocation in new ways. Product and digital leaders adopted Radar not just for location-based app experiences, but for mission-critical fraud and operations use cases and as a key input into AI and ML models.

To meet this demand, we launched the world's first Location OS. We moved into a new NYC HQ as our team grew across every function. And we enter 2026 with unprecedented momentum.

Trends in geolocation adoption: Mission-critical use cases, AI and ML, and continued migration from legacy vendors

In our early years, consumer brands primarily adopted our Geofencing Platform to power location-based app experiences. That's still true, but in 2025 we saw:

  • Increasing adoption for mission-critical fraud and operations use cases
  • Continued migration from legacy maps and geolocation vendors to Radar's unique all-in-one platform with both Geofencing and Maps
  • Geolocation as a key input into AI and ML models, with portions of AI budgets being allocated to geofencing for the first time

For instance, in 2025, we began powering:

  • For a leading airline: real-time passenger geolocation, with indoor positioning and floor level detection
  • For a leading QSR: an online ordering flow with unique pin-drop map functionality
  • For a leading mobility company: live vehicle location tracking and ETAs
  • For a leading insurance company: route matching, geocoding, and location intelligence
  • For 4 of the top 7 US sportsbooks: next-gen geo-compliance and fraud prevention

Geolocation, once a nice-to-have, is increasingly mission-critical infrastructure and a first-class signal alongside identity and payments. When location breaks, it's painful for end users, fraud teams, and operations teams alike.

That's why modern enterprises are increasingly turning to Radar as the trusted platform for geolocation accuracy, reliability, and scale.

Radar IRL 2025: The frontier of geolocation

Leading up to the launch, we hosted some of our most strategic customers at IRL, our annual customer conference and customer advisory board, in Austin.

The conversations at IRL made it clear that forward-thinking product and digital leaders see geolocation as table stakes in 2026 and beyond.

We already can't wait for next year's event.
